It is with deep sadness that we share the news that Jimmy Simpson, one of the Blaydon Rugby Football Club family has passed away
Jimmy was a long time playing member of the club, Jim was a more than competent scrum half and was a regular member of the infamous Bricks rugby team from its early inception. He subsequently moved into refereeing and continued to support the club.
Our thoughts at this time are with his family, RIP Jimmy, You will be greatly missed and long remembered by all who knew you!
Funeral details:
Peacefully at home on 7th October 2023 aged 85 years Jim. Greatly loved and missed. Husband of Elaine, Dad of Rebecca, Timothy and Elizabeth and Grandad of Katie.
Funeral Service at St Mary the Virgin Parish Church Whickham on Wednesday 25th October at 1.00pm.
Private Cremation to follow.
Family flowers only.
