Happy New Year – RUGBY IS BACK!!
Good Morning All,
We have almost made it through the first week back at work/school and thankfully we have loads of rugby involving our BRFC sides this weekend!!
Unfortunately we don’t have any senior teams at home tomorrow, our First XV are looking for back to back wins following their fantastic derby win against Tynedale before Xmas, with an away fixture against Huddersfield RFC (Kick Off 3pm).
Slightly closer to home, our Second XV are in Candy League action away at Billingham RFC (Kick Off 2.15pm).
On Sunday, our Youth Sections are in action throughout the North East, the Academy face a tough trip over to Penrith and at the other end of the scale our fabulous Mini’s are playing at Houghton RFC. The Under 13’s have a home match against Gateshead and our Under 16’s are training in preparation for their County Cup Final next week, details to follow – support required!
Finally, we have two Redkite teams in action on Sunday afternoon. The First XV are in NC2 League action away at Scunthorpe, looking to start 2022 with a bang and hopefully retaining their top position.
The Second XV are at home in Inner Warrior League action against Hartlepool (Kick Off 2pm on AGP).
Both Redkites teams are playing some great rugby and they really appreciate all the supporters who come along to their games. As ever the bar will be open (hot drinks on sale also!) and it would be fantastic if a few more faces were seen at Crowtrees on a Sunday afternoon.
As is always the case, where ever you are playing/training/watching your rugby this weekend, enjoy it and I will see you at some point (Billingham Away for me and then Penrith Away on the Sunday!).
