BRFC Under 10’s Update for 2019/20 Season

Hello. And thank you for taking time to visit our U10 page for Blaydon RFC.

A complete new coaching team was introduced last season and the players were taught the principles of contact rugby.

Our philosophy at this young age is trying to get the best out of each individual player.

This coming season the team will play against other local teams both home and away, and we have the use of our fantastic all weather state of the art pitch – it’s fantastic.

Training is under the watchful eye of three coaches – James, Scott and Jason. James and Scott are gaining more and more experience and attend training courses, and Jason has been a coach at BRFC for 14 years and is qualified as a level 2 coach. The guys are DBS checked and are 1st aid trained. Also not forgetting our team manager Steph who runs off-field comings and goings.

Training and matches are on a Sunday morning, usually starting at 10am. Everyone gets a chance to shine and after matches all players, and our very supportive group of parents and families, go into the clubhouse for a get-together. Players and coaches wear Blaydon dress shirt and tie (provided) and during the season Steph also arranges social events as we believe the team is not just those on the pitch, it is players family too.

We would be delighted to welcome you into our rugby family, you will be very welcome both on and off the pitch.
