Support our Charity day, Saturday 24th February, in support for ‘Help for Heroes’ – great day of rugby and entertainment lined up.

The day kicks off at Noon with the Blaydon Crows (Vets) playing a side from 47 Regiment RA

Followed by:

  • Blaydon First team playing South Leicester at 2pm – come cheer on the lads as they look to make it 2 wins in a row.
  • Ireland v Wales at 2:15pm on the Large HD Screen Projector and various 50inch. plus TVs around the place
  • England take on Scotland in the Calcutta Cup at 4:45pm
  • Banta, Music, Buffet, general merriment, etc. continues through the evening into the late hours

With exception of watching the First team, there is no entrance charges, all we ask is for donations to be made / raffle tickets to be bought to support this worthy charity.

Little more detail from the guys at 47 Regiment RA

They’re all ex-army from 47 regiment RA and each year meet up to play a game of rugby and support that year’s chosen charity. This year there are with us at Blaydon RFC and the  charity they have chosen this year is  for Help the Heroes.

The lads travel from all over to play the games, i.e. last year they all went across to Germany where the regiment was based to play a local German team.

They have an England shirt signed by Mark Wilson and a Newcastle Falcons top signed by the squad to raffle in the afternoon and on the night time have a disco with a raffle and have got about 50+ prizes, plus food….

It’s a open event, you don’t need a ticket, a donation at the door would be appreciated.
