Tom passed away on 5th March 2018 just 8 weeks after celebrating his 100th Birthday.
Tom was the last surviving member of the undefeated Blaydon side of 1945//46 playing alongside Tim Forbes, Panky Holliday, Roger Kirkup and Kiwi International Cricketer Martin Donnelly.
Tom was born in Rowlands Gill and served in the 8th Army in World War 2 being awarded the Military Medal in 1945
After serving in World War 2 Tom lived in Kenya for a short while before returning to this country and living in Bedford where he became an active member of Bedford Blues and supported the team until the last few years.
