Hinckley 52, Blaydon 28

Blaydon made an inauspicious start to life back in National League Two North, going down heavily to Leicestershire side Hinckley. Since losing Nat One status they have lost 7 members of their illustrious pack, mainly through retirement, and a re-building exercise is very much the order of the day.
In yesterday’s encounter they scored first when second rower Jonathan Haynes crashed over but poor tackling had them permanently on the back foot, and by the interval were trailing 38-7.
A much improved second half performance brought them 3 more tries and some respectability to the score-line. Fly-half Ryan Foreman finished off some good work by the forwards with a try in the corner, Haynes crossing for his second and near the end winger Dan Marshall showing the opposition a clean pair of heels when going clear from half-way.
