Gateshead Foodbank Donation Station at BRFC

Last season, 2 of our (current) u14s players (Max Gordon & Max Lee) had an idea to set up a ‘Donation Station’ at the Club, to collect food donations for Gateshead Foodbank.

Thanks to generosity of players & parents, we managed to donate 67.7kg to families in need.

We’ve just emptied the box in preparation for a big push on Saturday during & after the NSB matches and made another donation of 17.3kg. The clubhouse will be full this Saturday afternoon as we have the sell out Christmas Jumper Presidents Lunch followed by BRFC v Harrogate RFC. It would be fantastic if everyone was able to bring at least one item, we understand they have a big shortage of male toiletries.

The box will be available on Saturday in the downstairs bar. All donations gratefully accepted.
